De evolutietheorie is aan het transformeren. Het schema van competitie en survival blijkt niet het laatste woord. De oude grondgedachte What persists exist is aan het transformeren naar What relates creates. Verschillende biologen als Denis, Nobel en Michael Levin laten dat steeds meer experimenteel zien.
In deze video spreekt Richard Watson vrijuit. Als wetenschapper is hij bekend van Songs of life — dat ik vertaalde als lijfswijs — over de muziek als metafoor in de evolutie. Geïnspireerd vanuit wetenschap en boeddhisme komt hij tot de logische conclusie, creatie is een proces van relateren en co-knowing: Liefde is het hart van de evolutie.

Evolution = what persists exists
In order to exist or survive I need to become a better model of the environment including a better model of you.
This is mutual, the environment is a model of me. Both sides of that boundary need to be complimentary reflections of one another.
When I know you well and vice versa, you knowing me, requires change and transformation in you. We find stability together through our shared Dynamic synchronization.
We are opposites but the same. There is no stability without our co-knowing.
That co-knowing is vulnerable in the sense that it transforms me and transforms you, it’s mutual in the sense that it’s symmetric and it’s deep in the sensethat it can’t just be superficial. I think deeply vulnerable. Mutual knowing is a good stab at what love is, deeply vulnerable Mutual knowing, that kind of relation that is the essence of creation.
Things exist because of their deeply vulnerable Mutual knowing, not because they were able to put a boundary around themselves that kept everything else out. It’s because of the Symmetry between the inside and the outside.
